Florida Power & Light Office of Economic Development – FPL

FPL serves the entirety of Flagler County and provides energy that is affordable, reliable, and clean.  Rates are among the lowest in Florida and the U.S. that translate into savings for your business.  Additionally, FPL offers incentive programs to attract new investment and jobs to the State of Florida and has dedicated staff working in economic development efforts.

Florida Resiliency and Energy District (FRED) PACE

The PACE program provides an alternative method of financing covering costs of certain energy efficiency and wind resistance improvements to commercial projects.  Florida Statutes allows this financing mechanism to apply to improvements to existing structures, new builds, as well as Greenfield projects.

JaxUSA 

JaxUSA is the regional economic development organization covering Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties. 

Entrepreneurship Resources

SCORE Volusia/Flagler offers free & confidential counseling to help grow small businesses.   One-on-One mentorship, online learning opportunities, and webinars available.

Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce offers Business Boot Camp and Next Up Flagler designed especially for up-and-coming businesses.

Workforce Resources

The State of Florida has 24 CareerSource workforce development boards throughout the state to assist individuals with job searches, career development, and training.  They also connect local talent with hiring employers.  Businesses may post job openings, participate in job fairs and recruitment events in tandem with CareerSource.

Each board is also tasked with administering Florida’s Quick Response Training Grant (QTR) program in their respective area.  These grants are only available to new and expanding companies to create specialized training in high-skilled industries.

Site selectors and employers may access information about labor market trends, statistics and economic and demographic data by county, metropolitan statistical area (MSA), or workforce region.
