Food is better when we eat together. Grab the fam, the squad, bae or bestie and head over to Flagler Beach’s neighborhood bar and grill to make some memories. With a bar facing the beach, Beach Front Grille's “good food, good drinks, good times” mantra means memories in the making via people watching, maybe some live music and always a menu full of hearty options you can’t go wrong with, including salads, savory dishes, sweets, seafood and, of course, burgers. For love at first bite, order the Black & Blue burger, a delicious blackened burger covered in Swiss cheese, Applewood smoked bacon and melted blue cheese crumbles—because cheese makes everything better.
2. Prime Time Burger at Turtle Shack Cafe
You’re on beach time, so no matter what time of day it is, take your palate to Turtle Shack Cafe to savor the Time Burger. A “small place with a big reputation,” the family-run burger, sandwich and seafood paradise has great views and stellar service with a bevy of palatable burger options. Go pinkies out with the primo Prime Time burger, a gourmet burger stacked with shaved prime rib and your choice of cheese. Go “Skinny” with 6 ounces of juicy beef, or grab the “Regular” for 12 ounces. Each comes with an included side (pineapple poppyseed coleslaw, anyone? Or the OG seasoned fries?). Blending your breakfast and “linner” (aka lunch/dinner) dreams against beautiful ocean views—with style points for uniqueness—is Tortugas’ Waffle Burger. The roadside restaurant’s “flying saucer” of a sammy promises to rocket to the top of your best burger list—and with ocean views to boot. Don’t forget to grab some famed Whaam fries that come complete with a double beef patty, American cheese, grilled onions and Whaam sauce. Or try the signature Tachos with double beef patty, onions, jalapeno peppers, Whaam Wiz and Unicorn Dust. It’s all otherworldly, indeed!
5. Bro's Flaming Burger at Burger Bros
One of Palm Coast's newest eateries, Burger Bros, specializes in gourmet Angus chuck burgers piled high with creative combinations of tasty toppings. With ten signature burgers and customizable options on the menu, you're sure to find a combo that 'meats' your expectations. If you really want to go all in on a signature burger, you can't go wrong with the Bro's Flaming Burger. Eight ounces of Angus Chuck patty served on a butter grilled brioche bun with chipotle, lettuce, tomato, fried jalapeno poppers and pepper jack cheese. Wowza, Burger Bros 'flames' to please.
6. Fungus Amongus at The Brown Dog
There’s a Fungus Amongus—and you will want to eat it. No, like, for real. Brown Dog’s Fungus Amongus burger is the cleverly dubbed garlic Parmesan grilled half-pound burger topped with garlic butter grilled mushrooms, provolone and Parmesan cheeses, housemade garlic aioli and bacon on a toasted croissant served with seasoned fries. Or you can upgrade to selected apps (think sweet corn nuggets, housemade hummus, hand-cut onion rings, fried avocado and more).
