Whether it accompanies a thin slice of veal or is served on its own, pasta is a comfort food that we can’t live without. In honor of National Pasta Day, we’ve been noodling over our favorite places to slurp down a big bowl of carbs in Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches. Check out three of our best Italian restaurants, below:

Osteria Rustica in Bunnell

You’ll want to plan ahead for this one. And trust us, it’s worth it. Osteria Rustica is an intimate, chef-owned establishment with just a handful of tables—making reservations a must. Once you’ve scored a seat, though, expect to be wowed by sophisticated Italian dishes. Gourmet entrées like handmade lobster ravioli or tender veal and pappardelle are a savory delight for diners. Combined with attentive waitstaff, the entire meal is a culinary experience. We rate this one of the best Italian restaurants in Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches.

Terranova’s Restaurant and Pizzeria in Bunnell

Warm and inviting, Terranova’s reminds us of our mother’s cozy kitchen. But whereas Mom only offered one choice at mealtimes, this Italian spot in Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches boasts endless pasta-bilities. Our favorite is the create-your-own option. First, choose your base: spaghetti, penne, linguine, angel hair, or fettucine. Then, pick one of their flavorful sauces to top it off: tomato, marinara, meat sauce, mushroom, or garlic and oil. Overwhelmed and can’t decide? Opt for the cheese-filled tortellini or plump ravioli—both served with homemade tomato sauce. With so many delicious options, we kinda wish Mom was here to decide for us after all.

La Piazza Café in Palm Coast

Tucked inside European Village, La Piazza Café dishes up authentic Italian flavors. Its menu is full of impeccably prepared classic cuisine—from homemade lasagna with a hearty Bolognese to linguini tossed in a delicate white wine sauce. Each enticing pasta entrée is served with a fresh house salad, balancing out that carb-load. Friendly tip: dine al fresco to soak up the atmosphere at this charming Palm Coast restaurant. La Piazza Café’s terrace is draped with faux grape vines and festive lights that come alive each evening, adding a romantic touch.
