SIS is hosting a screening of Frances Causey's "The Long Shadow" at 6pm, followed by a Q&A session with the creator. The venue will accommodate up to 325 people.
The Long Shadow, Director Frances Causey’s powerful documentary, reveals the connections of slavery and strong-arm Southern politics to the current racial strife in America. The Long Shadow follows former CNN Senior Producer, TED contributor, and Emmy-Award winning Director Frances Causey as she traces her family’s legacy of white privilege exposing her own family's history of slaveholding and how the institution of slavery continues to have an impact today.
