One of the most important decisions you make after getting engaged is where to get married. Florida’s Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches, located on the Northeast Coast of Florida, should be on your short list. Why Flagler? Well, if you’re looking for a gorgeous destination with lots of venue options as well as fun activities for your guests, then you should consider the Flagler Beach area. If you want to have a beach wedding that you can plan at any price point, then you should consider the Flagler Beach area. And if you want to plan a wedding in a place where you and your spouse would love to return year after year for your anniversary, then you should definitely choose the Flagler Beach area. There are hundreds of reasons why Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches area is perfect for weddings, but here are the top three.

1. The Weather

Florida is a popular choice for destination weddings, and the great year-round weather is one of the key reasons for that. But some destinations in Florida can get a little uncomfortable in a wedding gown during the summer months, but not Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches. Here, our year-round temperatures average somewhere between 61 to 83 degrees—which means there’s little chance of temps dipping low or shooting high to an uncomfortable climate.

2. The Location

Have your dream beach wedding here on our Flagler beaches. Say “I do” barefoot in the sand, or plan a vow exchange and reception at a beachside venue. When you’re planning a destination wedding, it’s always a good idea to choose a location your guests will want to visit anyway so they can make a vacation out of it. Plus, easy access in and out both by driving or flying makes it an affordable destination wedding location, too. That’s why the Flagler Beach area is perfect for weddings.

3. The Venues

Another great reason to plan a wedding in Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches is the area’s one-of-a-kind venues. Yes, there are the beaches, but there are also unexpected spots like Marineland Dolphin Adventure, the area’s own sanctuary for marine life. The most famous residents are dolphins, and they’re invited to your wedding (imagine pictures during your ceremony with dolphins jumping in the background). Tents are provided for wedding parties that can accommodate both small and large groups. The venue overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, giving guests a spectacular view of both the beach and the aquarium.

Invite your guests to stay at a luxurious hotel with its own golf courses and waterpark with a wedding at Hammock Beach Golf Resort and Spa in Palm Coast. The resort is known for its swanky, gorgeous interior that’s all Florida, but Florida at its most luxurious. The hotel overlooks the ocean, and couples can choose between the beach to indoor ballrooms, to the pool deck, lawn or courtyard for ceremonies and receptions. (The resort has a total of nine possible venues.) Families and members of your wedding party can stay at the resort for convenience and enjoy some of Hammock Beach’s amenities including a top-of-the-line golf course, spa, pool and waterpark. For couples planning a wedding at the hotel, the resort offers a list of partners to choose from including photographers, bakeries, officiants and more.

The Florida Agricultural Museum is another local spot that can give couples a rustic, bohemian vibe for their nuptials in its historic, 5,000-square-foot barn. This is where current Pinterest trend-board dreams can come true. Wedding parties are free to decorate the farmhouse-style barn to their liking; it can comfortably accommodate up to 170 guests. The grounds also include horses hanging out in nearby pastures and optional hayrides and other special activities for wedding guests.

Finally, for a more modern venue, consider Channel Side, a brand new boutique venue in the center of Palm Coast’s saltwater canals. The 4-acre site is surrounded by these channels and has a large indoor space that can be customized to your wedding’s theme. Couples can choose an outdoor ceremony along the water with swaying palm trees in the background before heading indoors for a reception. Channel Side comes with its own bar and buffet tables, so wedding planners can easily set up a catering service before the ceremony. As night falls, your guests can enjoy the lush landscape under the stars.
