Join the Friends of Tomoka Basin State Parks for the Inaugural "Art in the Park" on Saturday, April 16th from 9am-3pm. Ed Beckett of FPC High School will hold a Nature Photography Class from 9am-11am (FREE CLASS to the first twelve who pre-register at firstname.lastname@example.org ). Meet author and Bulow historian, Bill Ryan, at 1PM and learn more about the history of Bulow Plantation. His books will be on hand including Bulow Gold and the recently published, "Search for the Lost Plantations". We invite artists to come out and paint en plein aire at this beautiful and historic location (artist fee of $2.00 to participate). Rent a canoe and photograph the beauty of Bulow Creek and the wildlife. Tour the historic sugar mill ruins (listed on the National Register of Historic Sites) via interactive displays and a self-guided interpretive center. Light refreshments will be available for purchase at the screened pavilion. Park entrance fee is $4.00/vehicle via an honor box (exact change required). So bring out the family for some fun and see creativity and history come to life.
